Store bought pound cake
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1/3 cup mascarpone cheese
2 cups strawberries
Fresh mint
Procedure:
- Wash, hull, and slice strawberries
- Puree 1/4 cup of strawberries until smooth
- Whip heavy cream and powdered sugar to stiff peaks
- Whisk in mascarpone cheese, then vanilla, then strawberry puree
- Assemble trifle: Cake on the bottom, strawberry cream, and sliced strawberries, repeat.
- Garnish with remaining strawberry slices, and fresh mint.
