Description
Miracle-Gro® Expand 'n Gro® Concentrated Planting Mix is a great substitute for potting mix or garden soil as it can be used in-ground or in containers. The compressed coir with plant food expands up to 3X when water is added and feeds plants for up to 6 months. It holds up to 50% more water than basic potting soil and creates up to 90% more air giving your plant's roots all the room they need to thrive.

Must have!
We buy this every year for the new season. Unlike some in the reviews, we've never been disappointed... but I think we use this product differently.
We dump the bag into a large bin, and add several gallons of water, stirring and fluffing until it absorbs. Then we add a small amount (several tablespoons) of the water retaining crystals. And THEN we add in three bags of standard Miracle Gro potting soil. This has been our go-to for flowers and any veggies we grow in containers. The Expand 'n Gro allows our potting soil to go farther than it might otherwise, and the water crystals keep the pots from drying out. I have everything from green beans to corn - AND many flowering plants and herbs - in containers, and we have thus far always been thrilled with the results we get!

Great results
I used this for my vegetable garden for my tomatoes. Tomatoes, basil, eggplants, squash have all grown beyond my expectations. In order to use the product, I mixed the product with my existing garden soil.

Great results!
My hydrangia bushes had not bloomed on two seasons. I had no idea why but was willing to try anything. After I received the Miracle-Gro Expand 'n Gro Concentrated Planting Mix, it was about a week when I noticed buds. A few days later blooms appeared.

Made a big difference!
I used this product because I have some hard soil and I tried for years to grow healthy flowers. I couldn’t get anything to grow very well. After using Miracle Grow Expand n Gro my new plants are doing great!

Good product!
Used this product for my melon seedlings. Majority of the seeds germinated and I’m looking forward to harvest a lot of melons soon. The mix expands really well. Texture is great. Very easy to water. I would definitely recommend this product to others.
