DESCRIPTION
Feed your plants and prevent listed garden weeds with Miracle-Gro® Shake 'N Feed® All Purpose Plant Food Plus Weed Preventer1. In addition to feeding plants, this garden weed control product prevents listed broadleaf and grass weeds, including crabgrass, barnyard grass, foxtail, goosegrass, common chickweed, common lambsquarter, common purslane, pigweed (spiny and redroot), and Russian thistle. Use this gardening product to feed and protect listed garden plants, including vegetables, bulbs and flowers, trees, shrubs, and ground covers (see label for a complete list of where to use). To apply, sprinkle granules at the rate depicted on the label. For best results, gently rake and lightly water in product after application. Do not apply when foliage is wet, and do not use with flower seeds or on lawns. Apply as early as possible in the growing season before weeds emerge for maximum weed control. One 4.5 lb. container of Miracle-Gro® Shake 'N Feed® All Purpose Plant Food Plus Weed Preventer1 covers a minimum of 135 sq. ft. of garden area.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
For established plant application (flowers, roses, shrubs and trees 2"" to 3"" tall):
- Sprinkle evenly over the entire soil surface at the application rate of 4.8 oz. per 10 sq. ft. For best results, gently rake and lightly water in after application.
Vegetables:
- Application may be made up to 10 weeks prior to planting direct seeded vegetables and anytime prior to setting transplants/transplanting. Remove all weeds first. Lightly cultivate/rake to prepare a smooth soil surface. Rate of application is 4.8 oz. per 10 sq. ft. Lightly water in after application. See label for application directions for specific vegetables.
WHERE AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- Do not use on flower seeds, lawns or in enclosed areas such as greenhouses. Do not apply to myrtle as injury may result.
Where to Use
- Use around listed established flowers, vegetables, groundcovers, shrubs, and trees.
When to Apply
- Apply as early as possible in the growing season before weeds have emerged for maximum weed prevention.

Wish it came in 40 lbs sacks for savings
Shake n Feed is great for quick but lasting fertilization. No smelly sacks of manure. Clean and easy to spread around in gardens and vineyards. Flowers and veggies love this stuff. I wish we could get 40–50-pound economic sacks for a refill. Grass responds well also, but my flowers and veggies respond well too. Grape vines are hardy but they like a little power start in the spring. Feeding vines in early spring give them a jumpstart for sweeter grapes in late summer-early fall.

Brought tomatoes back to life.
I bought 4 tomato plants at feed store in Early March. Used new inexpensive potting soil in 10 gallon pots. Started fertilizing with water soluble MG but plants were like stunted. They only grew about a foot in a month. Looking poorly I searched as to why. Started using MH shake and feed for tomatoes and they finally took off. Lots of blossoms late July but oh well. Im learning.

Instructions said on the package to use 20-20-20 for best results. Could not find anything in granules like I wanted. So I went to Miracle Gro Shake n' Feed. Amazing results. The numbers are very different as far as what my plants needed but this container full of granules that are easily shaken around the plant did the trick. My plants had started to yellow and I knew they needed some nourishment. This product is wonderful. The plants have all greened up and putting on new growth. I am so happy I brought Shake n' Feed.
