Great mix for gardeners
I received this product in exchange for a review. I live in a somewhat cold climate so I like to start my seeds indoors to extend the growing season. I used this soil when it came time to re-pot my seedlings and it is good, rich potting soil. I’ve had potting soil that included wood chips or other debris and this stuff did not. So far, so good and my plants are pretty happy!

Doesn’t smell bad.
I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review.
I was concerned this soil would smell because of it being organic. It doesn’t smell bad at all thankfully. It is light, soft and does have a stick here and there. When I planted my basil and watered it, the soil slowly absorbed the water. I used a brand once that the soil floated, this did not do that.

I love the soil
The packaging was perfect because I do a lot of gardening. The soil was very effective in starting new plants, growing veggies. The ingredients are awesome! The scent is decent, and I will definitely recommend this to everyone who’s into gardening.

Great amount for price
I used this to plant some potatoes! The price for this soil seems great and it was easy to use. The packaging was easy to open as well. The texture was fluffy and didnt clump. It didn't smell gross and thankfully there were no fruitflies, which I have noticed with some soils. Also has good ingredients and fertilizer!

Great for New Potted Flowers
This is my first time planting in the shade and I wasn’t sure how this potting soil would do, but it is thriving! In about one month’s time I have some really great growth. I’m looking forward to expanding in other parts of my yard.

I buy this over and over!
I love Miracle-Gro products, and this one is no different. I usually amend bagged soils with MG peat moss and my own compost, but this bag came with an excellent mix right out of the bag. One bag gave me a good amount for 3 pots. I used this for high producing tomato plants and they are strong with healthy new growth. I also have early blooms and my soil doesn't dry out. I live in the desert and the peat moss is a MUST for retaining water through the scorching summers.

Rich and healthy potting soil!
Rich and moist potting mix! This mix even smelled wonderful. Repotting is a breeze with this mix as it is very fine and will pack nicely in a container allowing roots to grow. Miracle gro is perfect for small or large containers!

Worth the value!
Perfect soil for repotting my plants. The bag is thick so there is no leaking debri. There is no strong odor the soil is light and fluffy. The size of the bag was enough to repot 11 houseplants! I would def recommend!

My go-to high-quality potting mix.
Gifted ✨Miracle-Gro Organic Potting Mix. This potting mix comes in a big bag of 14.04 lbs very colorful and eye-catching. This soil mix is high quality the color is very dark, great nutrient retention soil. It has a pleasant earthy smell. The texture is crumbly and moist, not overly compacted and with evidence of earthworms and other beneficial organisms. I love that it's organic and has the fertilizer to get the plant off to a good start and feed it for at least two months. It also has a wetting agent to make sure that the container holds water well and can be re-wet easily. I have used Miracle-Grow products for years and all my plants look beautiful and healthy I use it in my garden and for repotting my indoor plants. This is my go-to soil and it's a great value and quality for the price. I highly recommend

It’s great!

I have to say, I absolutely love it and love the quality of the product.
The color is a deep black and it helps promote root development.
It retains water well and seems to help my plants. It’s easy to use when adding to plants that have already been potted. I look forward to using it alot more.

Highly recommend for gardeners
The package was delivered in very good condition. I often use this potting soil for my Rose plants. It doesn’t have smell like others. The soil can feed up to 2 months. I see this soil can keep the moisture better than other brands.

This potting mix worked perfectly for my early season ranunculus corms. It had a perfect combination of your traditional looking soil and small pieces of mulch. I found very few stones in this bag which was also very nice. It didn’t have a potent compost smell as some bags of mix do. The bag was also not wet internally which I also appreciate, as there are times very wet soil has been moldy upon opening the bag. I’ll definitely buy this mix again.

Quality organic soil
This potting soil is such a great mixture. I was able to repot 2 of my plants and they are thriving. The one plant already has a new sprout after just a few days. It has a fresh earthy smell. I didn’t notice any mold or mildew in the bag. It’s not full of stick and such like cheaper brands use a lot of filler products. The soil was loose and slightly moist. Not over dry and clumped. It feels and smells like quality product. And the proof that my plant is already sprouting a new growth after a few days is proof enough for me.

A great garden fertilizer! It makes my plants look
I’ve used Miracle-Gro products for years, I’ve used it in the garden and for repotting plants and I’ve always been pleased with the results! The potting mix helps add nutrients to the grown making my flowers/fruits grow quickly while also making them look nice and healthy. I’ll be saving this to repot some of my Christmas cactus and I’ll be putting some around my grape vine and flowers! If your garden is looking for that extra boost I would recommend using Miracle-Gro fertilizers, I always get pleasant results plus so many compliments on my yard!

good not great
i know miracle gro organic potting mix gets a bad rap, but honestly? i like it. is it perfect? no. but for the price and convenience, it does what i need it to do.
pros:
• budget-friendly and easy to find
• plants seem happy and grow well in it
• has organic matter that provides some nutrients
cons:
• yes, the fungus gnats are real, but that’s fixable with a little diligence
• can be a bit dense, so i mix in some perlite for better drainage
• needs more frequent watering adjustments than higher end mixes
overall, if you’re expecting flawless, premium soil, this isn’t it. but if you want a solid, affordable mix that works with a little tweaking, it’s a great option. i’ve had good results, and with a few small adjustments, it’s a keeper for me!

Get your spring on with this soil!
I love this soil because it is organic. The bag is a big size and is good for a lot of spring/summer gardening projects- such as repotting plants, growing flowers, etc. the packaging is okay- the bag is vented, which is nice but maybe adding a ziplock style at the top would be a nice touch. The soil is great for outdoor or indoor pots. It doesn’t have a strong smell. For the price, it’s a great choice.
