DESCRIPTION
Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble Orchid Food is a great way to nurture orchids and other acid-loving plants. It gives plants a deep, rich leaf color, beautiful blooms, and strong roots. Apply it every 2 weeks during active growth periods and every 4 weeks during rest periods. Grow a colorful, beautiful orchid with Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble Orchid Food.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
For orchids or other indoor acid-loving plants, mix 1/4 teaspoon of Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble Orchid Food for every gallon or water and apply every 2 weeks during active growth periods; every 4 weeks during rest periods.
1. Water early in the day to allow time for the plants to dry.
2. Water the container surface and roots only - not the foliage.
3. Always use water that is room temperature or slightly warmer.
4. Allow water to run through your potting media during watering.
Can also be used on outdoor plants: Mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of water and apply over soil. Apply every 2 weeks to help promote bigger, more beautiful plants vs. unfed.

Active growth vs rest
Is active growth summer and rest winter? I grow my orchids outdoors in summer in the shade and they bloom as light hours drop in autumn. Or about the time i bring back indoors. Should I feed with heavier recommended measures (1tbsp/gal) when growing outdoors in summer?

Used this product for years
However, the last box I got the color of the fertilizer was not pink as previous ones were.
It is green like regular miracle grow…. Wondering if it is correct or if weather somehow changed it? Any ideas?

Happy Orchids
I use at 1/4 strength on 13 Phalaenopsis since I started my Orchid collection April 2019. I water “weakly weekly” my plants in bark. All are very healthy with new roots and several just starting to spike. Happy with this product!

Read the small sentence in the package: it's not just for orchids!
My orchids are doing fine with the food (they are a rescue proyect, coming out of a huge crisis, so they being still alive is good news - they've been fed twice in 4 months...)
but
my roses! they love this thing. I've fed them twice with the measure for inside plants (1/4 spoon) and once with the outdoor measure (1 spoon) and they just keep growing and blooming. She's been growing buds on a regular basis since I started feeding her with this thing.
Seeing my roses blooming like that using this product for which I paid just $4.95 (and it will last months) it's amazingly cheap.

Now it's warmer
Living in the south I keep orchids outside. The fertilizer sends to be helping me grow orchids that I have trouble keeping alive.

Positive results not just limited to Orchids!
I picked up the Miracle-Gro Orchid food to supplement the soil on my wife's orchids. The purchase was made first of all because I trust the Miracle-Gro name.
Last Fall I did a significant trimming of my azaleas in the front of the house. Traditionally this heavy of a trimming results in a lost Spring of blooms and new growth. After performing the needed cut backs I turned the soil around the plants and introduced some of the Miracle-Gro Orchid Food. With good rain and some warm weather I am seeing numerous buds and tender new foliage already this year. A early date for Easter will pre-date a full blooming but this should be a colorful Springs that I did not anticipate!
