This potting mix is specially formulated to include lava rock, a porous and lightweight material that provides the necessary drainage to support tropical plant growth. Once you combine your tropical plant and our potting mix in an indoor or outdoor container, your plant will stay fed for up to 6 months. You can use Miracle-Gro® Tropical Potting Mix with any type of tropical plant, including spider plants, ZZ plants, snake plants, pothos, croton, monstera, fiddle-leaf fig, and more. How to Use
- Select a pot with a drain hole. Fill pot about 1/3 full. Loosen root ball and place plant in pot. Add more mix, press lightly.
- Water, then let drain.

- Use when potting or repotting indoor or outdoor tropical plants.
How Often to Apply
- To avoid soil compaction and replenish nutrients, all plants should be repotted annually.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Watering Tips
- Let mix dry to the touch between waterings. Do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. Outdoor container plants require more frequent watering than indoor plants.

Great product!
I use this product with Potting soil, Orchid Bark, and perlite. I strain out the lava rocks and put them in my aroid mix. I’ll stick with the all Miracle Gro products for my homemade aroid mix! Definitely recommend!

Plants flourish!
This planting mix is so convenient. Has all that my tropicals need. Drains well and I can use slightly less water to water my plants. And it helps to use Miracle Gro Orchid Mix at the bottom of the pot before adding Tropical potting mix.

This potting mix is great to use for my tropical plants! It keeps them healthy and growing beautifully. Its super easy to use and is great for soaking up enough water to keep them mlisg but not overly saturated. My plants are thriving and look beautiful.

Perfect for plants
I recieved this miracle grow potting soil to try out from Scotts and i love how well it is working with my bell pepper plants! This potting mix keeps my plants healthy and has them thriving! I love the dark colored soil and the ease of using! When watering my olants the soil keeps them moist and doesnt over saturate my plants!

Used this for potted plants including jalapeno, serrano, and habanero peppers as well as several others. Has worked great in the hot Texas climate with no additional fertilizer. Peppers are growing strong!
