Description
Grow and feed your favorite succulents with Miracle-Gro® Cactus, Palm & Citrus Potting Mix. This succulent and cactus soil mix is enriched with Miracle-Gro® Plant Food and features a fast-draining formula. Get beautiful, colorful results with this mixture of forest products, sphagnum peat moss, sand, and perlite. To use, start with a pot with a drain hole and fill 1/3 full with soil. Place the root ball of your plant in the soil and add more mix. Press lightly; water the plant and let drain. Let the soil dry to the touch between waterings. Do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. Repotting citrus annually to the next larger size container will encourage fruiting. We recommend wearing gardening gloves and washing hands after using this and other garden products. One 8 qt. bag of Miracle-Gro® Cactus, Palm & Citrus Potting Soil fills two 8-inch containers (amounts may vary based on the size of the root ball).
Step by Step Instructions
1. Select a pot with a drain hole.
2. Fill pot about 1/3 full
3. Loosen root ball, place plant in pot
4. Add more mix; press lightly.
5. Water; let drain.
For spectacular results, start a regular feeding program 30 days after planting with Miracle-Gro® Succulent Plant

Great starter soil!
I’ve been using Miracle-Gro Cactus, Palm & Citrus Potting Mix and it’s been a game-changer. The mix provides excellent drainage, which is crucial in humid climate. It doesn’t retain excess moisture, and the texture makes it easy to handle and pot.

It is very easy to pot or repot using Miracle-Gro potting mix. It is ready to go and has plenty of nutrients with the included plant food. My plants have a healthy start to their new life.

My go to succulent formula
This is the formula straight from the bag that I’ll usually reach for for dry loving succulents and cacti, rather than those that prefer a rich or moisture retaining soil. This one dries super fast! Best value for the money in my area at the store, since it isn’t full of wood chips and branches like the store brand one. I have a tote I dump my bag into so it stays fresh and pest free, so I recommend that since it doesn’t have a way to close the bag.

Every plant lovers greatest mix
Arrived unopened and packed nicely. This potting mix flows through your fingers, not clumpy and easy to manage. The directions for use are easy to understand and my transplanting of this Christmas cactus was easier than expected. Miracle grow has many great soils and I love they are specific to whatever you are planting.

“Gorgeous Results: My Palm Is Thriving and So Am I
My palm has finally found its second wind! After repotting it into this soil mix, it truly came to life — the leaves became vibrant and firm, new growth appeared, and all of this happened within just a couple of weeks! The mix is perfectly balanced: light, breathable, with excellent drainage. Moisture doesn’t get trapped, the roots can breathe, and it’s clear the plant is thriving and grateful.
I was genuinely impressed by how quickly the mix started working — the results were visible almost immediately. It’s incredibly effective and clearly formulated with the needs of palm plants in mind.
I also want to mention how convenient and reliable the packaging is — sturdy, easy to use, and mess-free. The mix has no unpleasant smell at all, which is a big plus when working indoors. And most importantly, the quality absolutely matches the price — it’s a great value for such a high-performing product.

Great drainage for desert dwellers
This is really great soil for cacti and succulents. It is a good, more chunky texture that drains well so your plants do not get root rot. It is nice and fluffy. My succulents all did well when repotted with this soil. Pairs well with those water retaining crystals that they also make. The bag is pretty big and I will be able to repot and start many,many plants with the amount of soil that I got.
