Nutrient rich seedling soil
I recently used a bag of soil from Scott’s, and I am very impressed with the quality. The weather has been hot this summer so I was hoping that the seedling soil and a layer of mulch would help to keep my lemon balm plant alive. I was pleased to find that the soil has excellent moisture retention, which kept my plant consistently hydrated without overwatering. It’s also rich in nutrients, giving my lemon balm the perfect environment to thrive. After planting, I noticed healthy, vibrant growth much quicker than I expected. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results and would highly recommend this soil to anyone looking for a reliable, nutrient-rich option for their garden.

Perfect for starting seeds!
This is a light weight excellent soil for germinating seeds. It is easy to work with and I have had excellent luck using it for my seeds. It holds in moisture well and stays soft when it starts to dry. My seedlings grow quickly in this rich soil. This definitely my favorite brand to work with in my garden!

Great stuff
This is absolutely perfection when it comes to your seedlings! It did wonders for my starters! Easy to use. Drains perfectly. I dont have to worry about flooding like ive had with some other brands! Absorbs great! My only complaint is how small the bag is lol.

Easy to work with
This miracle-groe seed starter mix is fantastic. The texture is a great consistency, its not too wet and not too dry. It was very easy to work with and easy to plant my seeds into. Over all I'm very pleased with this mix and it worked well with the seeds I used it with!

Great for herbs!
I was really pleased with the potting soil. I used it to plant some herbs and am so excited to watch them grow. I love that it should help them grow big and strong and hopefully help them grow a bit quicker as well.

Great starting potting mix
I recently used the Miracle-Gro® Seed Starting Potting Mix, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. The texture is very light and fluffy, which made it easy for delicate seeds to sprout without getting compacted. I noticed that the mix retained moisture well, but it also drained enough to prevent overwatering issues, which is something I’ve struggled with in the past using heavier soils.
Within just a few days, I saw strong germination rates, and the seedlings developed sturdy stems and healthy green leaves. What I appreciated most was how consistent the results were across different types of seeds—herbs, vegetables, and even a few flowers all took off quickly. The mix seems to provide the right balance of nutrients for those early growth stages, which gave me confidence that the plants would transition well when transplanted into larger pots or the garden.
Overall, this product really lived up to its purpose as a seed-starting medium. It made the process stress-free, and I feel like it gave my plants the best possible start. I’ll definitely keep a bag on hand for each new planting season.

Amazing soil.
This is hands-down one of the best soils to use if you are starting seeds. We plant not only seeds in the summer, but we also have a greenhouse where we grow plants when it’s colder out and I always use this soil because it is the most high-quality soil on the market. We’ve always had good luck with it and have never had any negative issues with it.

I used this start seed potting soil for my garden to start growing my squash and okra. It looks and feels like it will make my plants grow really good. Didn't have any rocks or bugs and I think its perfect
