Nice soil
This is a nice potting soil. It’s is very finely granulated and rich. It doesn’t come in a super large bag, but is enough for several small pots or 1 pretty big container. I haven’t had any pest problems with this soil and it is going my plants great.

Potting Mix
I can finally plant my philodendron. This came in right in time. I planted some of my herbs and plant in it. So far they are blooming/growing nicely. Especially my philodendron started it from a seed. This mix naturally feeds your plant and seedlings. It contains, sphagum,perlite, and peat moss for excellent water retention, drainage, and aeration to help root growth.

The best seed starting mix ever !
We grow a lot of flowers and vegetables from seed and the seed mix is the best on the market. Everything sprouted and is very healthy and gross quick. The soil has a lot of nutrients, especially for young plants and I highly recommend it.

Perfect Mix for Starting Seeds
I have used Miracle-Gro Seed Starting Potting Mix, and it worked really well for starting my seeds. The mix is soft, light, and easy to handle, which helped my seeds sprout quickly. I noticed that most of the seeds I planted grew into healthy little plants within a short time. It holds moisture well but doesn't stay too wet, which is great for young seedlings. I also like that it's not messy and doesn't have a strong smell. Overall, it's a great product for beginners or anyone looking to grow plants from seeds at home.

Great drainage while staying moist
This potting soil looks very nice. It’s keeping moist & its drainage is great. I am currently using it to propagate some shrubs & also using it to start some late zinnia seeds & sunflowers in our short growing season. I will definitely be using more of this in the spring time.

Miracle growth for my plants
My favorite soil, the only type I have ever used. Clean, obviously with a good mix of material to help plant growth. I don't buy any other brand already. Either they are clay in and heavy , or they have weird material that's mixed in

Great grow mix - 100% success rate!
This is by far the BEST grow mix I have ever used! I've read the reviews where folks were whining about the "sticks" in the dirt ... well there are pieces of organic matter and yes there are very SMALL sticks, but there is nothing in the this grow mix that will stop seeds from germinating. I've used this to successfully start all of our garden veggies, zinnias, sunflowers, and herbs ... with 100% success rate every time. I've also used this grow mix to start African violets from seed, cactus from seed, and rooting African violets as well as Picasso petunias. This has been our second year using this mix, and we'll use it again every year going forward. I couldn't be happier with this stuff. And, the African violet seeds I started in January, one of those plants is now blooming!
Ignore the whining about the big sticks and try it!

good to go on replanting grass
I use this for light clover for new grass seeds. I couldn't find the right clover cloth to use. I don't use straw or hay to clover it take to long to break down. grass is coming in great and no birds are eating it. I will be using this to finish rest of yard.

Seedlings popping up
This is my first time using seed starting mix. Usually I use regular Miracle Gro potting mix to start my Marigold and Celosia seeds which had about 90% germination. But not much success with other variety of seeds. This year I’m using Miracle Gro Seed Starting Mix and all varieties of my seeds germinated close to 90%. Here I have so far, Silver Sage, Mother of Thyme, Bachelor’s Button, and Cosmos. The bag is lightweight enough for a child to carry. This also means the mix is very dry. Before sowing, I pour the mix into a bowl, and mixed thoroughly with water until evenly moist. This guarantees there are no dry pockets which will be hard to fix once you sow your seeds. But once they’re moist, water passes through easily. I only watered once in the two weeks that have gone by. I did find a bit of white mold growing on the mix of my Bachelor’s Buttons. It was caused by the tray being covered. Once I removed the cover, the mold stopped growing. I did not have mold on my other seedlings which were not covered. The bag did have a moldy smell even when not opened. I didn’t see any gnats. Yes there were sticks I had to pick out so there is some work. I’m looking forward to sowing my zinnias and marigolds soon.

It's dirt and things grow in it
I came here to read the product label and saw all the negative reviews. After reading some, I think people are blaming the soil for problems that aren't related to it. I just wanted to offset some of those reviews because I have been having a fine experience growing things in this dirt.

23 watt CFL 3' above seedlings kills pathogens ~
23 watt CFL leaks a little bit of U.V. which can burn seedlings so keep the CFL further away. Germinated seeds are white with no green. Need to green a little with very gentle light and then move closer to the light. I use 2 of these 8 watt 5000k daylight LED 800 lumen house light bulbs and 1 CFL in a brooder light which is probably 2700k to 3000k and its warm in color and its 1600 lumens. I also saw mold and fungus that probably came from the seed starting mix and the CFL removed all the pathogens that cause damping off. 100% success with every seed germinated. 3200 lumens total with 3 light bulbs to start. I use an old Sekonic camera light meter and when light is at least 500 lumens per square foot seedlings thrive. ½ warm ie 3000k and ½ blue ie 5000k Kelvin Temp. Room temperature average around 70 degree's. These seedlings are 5 weeks old. Excellent product and perfect fertilizer just right I don't have to worry about plant food. These suggestions enhance an excellent product. I hope this helps. I'll be buying more of this excellent seed starting product.

Loved it! Seeds grow super fast in soil
Bought one, been seeding a lot of flowers and veggies in it. In average only took 3 days to see seeds started sprouting. Never seen any other soil will grow seeds this fast. Loved it.

The only soil we use to start our plants...
Instead of buying my vegetable plants and flower plants each spring, we always start ours from seeds and we have been using this potting soil. We’ve tried other potting soils and nothing works as well as this seed starting soil. The seeds grow so much faster and the roots develop so much quicker with this soil. It is always my go-to and it has worked wonders for us. Very pleased with how well it works for our plants.

i use this to start my seedlings every year
i always use this for potting; it is sterile so no weeds come up to compete with your seedlings . it also has fertilizer to give seedlings a better start and they grow better. i also use it to plant my houseplants becase of the same reasons.

This product you can use inside dor planting a herb garden or house plants.it will help your young starter plants get a great start to. Also it can beused for all the outside potted plants that are new starters,they will grow to there full potential and produce wonderful colored dlowers,fresh healthy fruit vegetables.
