DESCRIPTION
Your plants need the right ingredients for a beautiful beginning. Help them start strong with Miracle-Gro® Seed Starting Potting Mix. This mix is enriched with Miracle-Gro® Plant Food and is specially formulated for fast root development. It is excellent when starting from seed or starting plants with leaf, stem or root cuttings. Use it in containers, and get your plants growing faster with Miracle-Gro®.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
For Seed Starting
- Select a shallow container with a drain hole.
- Fill container.
- Plant seeds according to package directions.
- Water; let drain.
- Keep moist and out of direct sunlight.
For Establishing Cuttings
- Fill container with Miracle-Gro® Seed Starting Potting Mix.
- Water thoroughly.
- Make holes with a pencil.
- Insert cuttings, pressing mix around stems.
- Keep moist and out of direct sunlight.
- For spectacular results when transplanting, remember to use Miracle-Gro Quick Start Plant Food.

Great for starting seeds
Miracle-Gro Seed Starting Potting Mix is great for when you are starting seeds. Seeds are so particular with their own needs and I've had problems in the past with starting seeds and then they don't grow past a certain point because they are lacking some nutrition. If you're like me, you'll want to start your seeds with this potting mix next time. It has everything seeds need to keep them growing strong.

Just the right mix
Excellent product. Just the right mix for quick growing and healthy vegetables for my garden. Very easy to use and it absorbed watering quickly without drying out to fast. Very pleased and will definitely use this again.

Helped my herb garden grow
I used the soil to help me grow some fresh herbs in my garden bed and did a great job at helping them to sprout very fast! It’s packed with nutrients and helps to provide your seedlings what they need to get them to grow fast and strong.

Scotts seed starter soil
Nice convenient size bag for starter seeds. Product pours and packs in my multi-pod trays very easily. Seed seem to sprout a bit sooner and very health foliage on my radishes, peppers, zinnias, and great root growth.

Works great!
I am Happy with this seed starting blend. It does a great job starting seeds I also use it for seedlings as well and it does fantastic. Plants seem to grow faster in this mix compared to other mixes I’ve used in the past.

Great potting mix
This potting mix is amazing. I added it to my flower pots and my flowers have grown bigger and more healthier then ever before. The bag was a decent size and the potting mix was enough to cover 5 pots. This is well worth the money!

Excellent potting soil
This Seed-Starting Potting Mix exceeded expectations. Designed specifically for germination, it has a fine, airy texture that makes it easy for delicate roots to spread. It stays light even after watering, preventing compaction and giving seedlings the oxygen they need.
Moisture retention is excellent—enough to keep seeds consistently damp without turning soggy, which helps prevent damping-off disease. The mix drains quickly, yet still holds just the right amount of water, making it more forgiving if you overwater slightly. I noticed my seeds sprouted evenly and ahead of schedule compared to previous years using generic soil.
It’s also free of large debris or sticks, which is crucial when sowing tiny seeds like lettuce or basil. The pH balance appears well-calibrated for a wide range of vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
My seedlings have never looked more vigorous right out of the gate.

Miracle Gro Is The Best
I love miracle grow for all my gardening . I will use this next season to start my plants and vegetables it will make them grow fast and healthy .Miracle Gro is the best !! . This is a nice potting soil. It's is very finely granulated and rich. It doesn't come in a super large bag, but is enough for several small pots or, 1 pretty big container.
