DESCRIPTION

This mix is enriched with Miracle-Gro® Plant Food and is specially formulated for fast root development. It is excellent when starting from seed or starting plants with leaf, stem or root cuttings. Use it in containers, and get your plants growing faster with Miracle-Gro®.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
For Seed Starting
- Select a shallow container with a drain hole.
- Fill container.
- Plant seeds according to package directions.
- Water; let drain.
- Keep moist and out of direct sunlight.
For Establishing Cuttings
- Fill container with Miracle-Gro® Seed Starting Potting Mix.
- Water thoroughly.
- Make holes with a pencil.
- Insert cuttings, pressing mix around stems.
- Keep moist and out of direct sunlight.
- For spectacular results when transplanting, remember to use Miracle-Gro Quick Start Plant Food.

Great starting potting mix
I recently used the Miracle-Gro® Seed Starting Potting Mix, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. The texture is very light and fluffy, which made it easy for delicate seeds to sprout without getting compacted. I noticed that the mix retained moisture well, but it also drained enough to prevent overwatering issues, which is something I’ve struggled with in the past using heavier soils.
Within just a few days, I saw strong germination rates, and the seedlings developed sturdy stems and healthy green leaves. What I appreciated most was how consistent the results were across different types of seeds—herbs, vegetables, and even a few flowers all took off quickly. The mix seems to provide the right balance of nutrients for those early growth stages, which gave me confidence that the plants would transition well when transplanted into larger pots or the garden.
Overall, this product really lived up to its purpose as a seed-starting medium. It made the process stress-free, and I feel like it gave my plants the best possible start. I’ll definitely keep a bag on hand for each new planting season.

Amazing soil.
This is hands-down one of the best soils to use if you are starting seeds. We plant not only seeds in the summer, but we also have a greenhouse where we grow plants when it’s colder out and I always use this soil because it is the most high-quality soil on the market. We’ve always had good luck with it and have never had any negative issues with it.

Great for starting new clippings
The seed starting soil is great for starting new clippings. I have so many plants and I love to start a bunch of new ones. I receive the soil and I started doing my clippings in it. Because the soil contains plant food the clippings rooted incredibly fast and had a strong root structure. Very easy to use simply put some in a cup insert your clipping and keep wet.
The best part is you never have to worry about giving your plant food cause it’s already in the soil. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Buy it! My herbs are thriving!
This miracle grow potting soil is perfect for anyone looking to sprout their own seeds and grow flowers - or even fresh herbs. I used this soil in starter pots in my kitchen to sprout basil, thyme, and parsley. After a couple of weeks I have thriving little plants! I can’t wait to harvest them!

Oh my Seedlings!
When I say wow I mean, wow my pictures are going. Will speak for me but ease of use regular care and watering. This soil was all the difference for my seedlings. I’ve planted tomato, cucumber, spaghetti, squash, butter, lettuce, and ginger. Every seedling is flourishing. Plenty of light plenty of drainage plenty of fertilizer. This stuff is top-notch definitely 100 100 recommend

Plant powerhouse

Great soil!
This potting soil for seed starting has really helped start a beautiful flower bed in my yard. I’ve been struggling growing from seeds until I used this mix. It is lightweight and allows for maximum drainage to make sure the seeds and plants grow properly. The price point is perfect for all my plant needs! I love it!
