DESCRIPTION

Can I grow vegetables in compost?
While compost will provide nutrition to your vegetable plants, it's not a stable soil base by itself. It's best to use a garden soil that contains compost and other ingredients to provide nutrition and support for your vegetable plants, like Miracle-Gro® Garden Soil Vegetables & Herbs.
Can I use potting soil for herbs?
If you're growing herbs in a pot or container, absolutely! A mix like Miracle-Gro® Potting Mix is ideal for most container plants. If you're starting from seeds, Miracle-Gro® Seed Starting Potting Mix is a great option. For in-ground herb plants, we recommend Miracle-Gro® Garden Soil Vegetables & Herbs.
Why is there mold in my bag of soil?
Mold spores are naturally present in soils, so don't worry if you find mold in your Miracle-Gro® Garden Soil Vegetables & Herbs. Those spores thrive under moist conditions inside bags, helping decompose organic material and enrich soil. Mold and fungus are natural components in healthy soil, and can contribute to a thriving garden.

Great Vegetable Garden Soil
This soil has the perfect mix of compost. For those complaining about wood chunks and other natural debris have no idea how to take care of a garden. If your plants don't grow in this soil please educate yourself and find out what you are doing wrong!

Works great.
Used as a adder on top of existing soil , top three inches mixed in, in my raised garden area. Helps plants get a good start on the season. Then at end of season just turn under for next year. Have also just cut bag open and planted veggies like cucumbers, green beans, melons, right in bag for season when run out of room.

perfect
perfect texture to amend my mostly clay soil, my peppers really did seem to benefit the most. I even mixed some in my potted peppers and they're still producing peppers in my greenhouse during the entire winter season.

Great for Florida gardens
Excellent product. The moisture control makes a big difference when in the drier months in Florida. It seemed that I did not have to water nearly as much as normal. My veggies seem to be thriving. Looking forward to see how well they'll produce.

Great soil!
This garden soil is great and is definitely a quality product. I used it for some herbs indoors and added it to some of my vegetable and fruit trees outside. It was not overly compacted and was easy to spread around. I love that it offers extra nutrients to my plants without much effort. I feel as though my herbs sprouted quickly and healthy looking indoors. Overall, I would definitely recommend this soil to maximize your garden's potential!

I have been using this soil over the past few weeks and I have already seen great improvement in my growing. My green beans have grown much faster than previous months plus my lemons have grown to bigger than their usual size. Definitely recommend.

Great Product
This soil is fantastic. It's a loose soil, packed full of compost. I have seen great results so far in my raspberry plant and my green beans. I hope to keep seeing great results over the colder months. Definite repurchase.
