Trees, shrubs and ornamentals can make low-maintenance and long-lasting additions to your landscape. In order to provide color and structure, they will need an occasional feeding - particularly for younger trees and shrubs. That's why we created Miracle-Gro® Evergreen Plant Food Spikes. These plant food spikes promote deep, vibrant color and foliage on all evergreens and acid-loving plants. These easy-to-use spikes provide nutrition directly to the roots, where trees need it most. Apply once in early spring and once in mid-fall when the ground is soft and moist. If the ground is dry, wet it before driving the spikes. To use, place an enclosed plastic cap on top of the spike, then drive it into the ground around the tree or shrub. Spikes should be at least 3 feet apart. For small trees and shrubs with a drip line closer than 2 feet, insert spikes 2 feet away from the center of the shrub or tree trunk. Remove the plastic cap and save for future use. Continue to drive spike 2 inches below the soil surface. One pack contains 12 spikes.

How to Use

• Place enclosed plastic cap on top of spike.
• Drive spike into the ground around tree or shrub following the drip line as illustrated.
• Spikes should be at least 3 feet apart. For small trees and shrubs with drip line closer than 2 feet, insert spikes 2 feet away from center of shrub or tree trunk.
• Remove plastic cap and save for future use.
• Continue to drive spike 2 inches below the soil surface.

Where to Use

• Use around all Evergreens and acid loving plants.

When to Apply
