How do you use organic soil for plants? For seed starting:

1. Select a shallow container with a drain hole or seeding tray
2. Fill your container with potting mix
3. Plant seeds according to package directions
4. Water thoroughly immediately after planting and let drain
5. To maintain your plant, keep moist and out of direct sunlight.

Transplanting:

1. Select a pot or container with a drain hole
2. Fill the pot partially with potting mix, loosen your plant's root ball, and place it in the pot
3. Cover your plant's roots with more mix and press down lightly
4. Water thoroughly immediately after planting and let drain One 8 qt. bag fills two 8-inch containers. Amounts may vary based on the size of the root ball.

Watering Tips

• When starting seeds, place a clear, ventilated plastic bag or dome over the container after planting to help conserve moisture. Remove immediately after seeds start to germinate (seeds begin to sprout).
