Sphagnum peat moss retains up to 20 times its dry weight in water, gradually releasing it as plants need, allowing for less frequent watering. It also loosens and aerates heavy clay soil while enhancing water and nutrient retention in sandy soils.

For Flower and Vegetable Gardens or Landscape Beds:

1. Apply 5-7.5 cm (2-3 inches) of Miracle-Gro® Enriched Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss to your garden or landscape bed
2. Rototill or spade to a depth of 15 cm (6”), mix well.
3. Begin planting, follow planting instructions on plant tag or seed packet.
4. Do not exceed 80 kg per m2 over the lifetime of your garden.

For Planting Individual Plants such as Trees, Shrubs and Roses:

1. Dig a hole at least twice as wide but no deeper than the root ball of the plant.
2. Mix the soil at a rate of one part native soil to one part Miracle-Gro Enriched Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss.
3. Build a mound in the hole so the top of the root ball is 2.5 to 5 cm (1 to 2 inches) above ground. Score root ball to encourage lateral spread.
4. Backfill hole with amended soil.
